First of all, I have to say — this is the first time I’ve come across a South Sea mabe pearl!

Most of the mabe pearls I’ve seen in the past have been freshwater, so when I came across this one, I immediately thought it was something quite special. South Sea pearls are much more limited in supply than freshwater pearls, so finding one in this beautiful 12mm mabe form was definitely exciting for me.

Then I feel like this is the one and only pearl ring you’d ever need if you were only going to pick one.

It has everything going on, yet somehow it is still the embodiment of elegance and grace.

At the centre is a beautiful South Sea mabe pearl. There is something so beautiful about a large pearl like this — soft, luminous and feminine, but then you add the bold black enamel and geometric diamond details and suddenly it has a completely different personality.

The pearl brings the softness, while the black enamel, strong geometric lines and contrasting white and yellow gold give it that unmistakable Art Deco character.

The four baguette diamonds on either side almost feel architectural, while the surrounding round brilliant diamonds add just the right amount of sparkle. Nothing feels unnecessary, yet there is so much detail to look at.
